Friday!!!

Today is always a good day...it's Friday! This is what I live for...the weekend!

Today I plan on going to the Laundry Lounge with Mack. Friday night fun! Well, it is fun anywhere when you have an awesome person to hang out with!

I have no other set plans for the weekend, but going to do more pilates...I'm addicted. And now can fit into my smaller jeans.

Yesterday, got home and found Mack had made food...was awesome! Watched Gamer, pretty bad movie. Pilates and Golden Girls.

It's almost February! That means it's that much closer to Spring! Can't wait until the time change...although that's going to suck getting up an hour earlier.

Fast Food Terror

I've been reading in the news, at least the interesting news (digg, yahoo, etc...yes the less classy) and have been reading about so many fast food crazy people, that I am almost afraid to go to one now. That is good...don't need fast food anyway.

Yesterday, watched Golden Girls, worked out, bought stuff online with gift cards. I love getting stuff in the mail.

Today, the bathroom is much cleaner. No poo residue. It's sad I can write about that so easily.

I'm hungry, so can't write much now.

Wow, yesterday was very interesting and fun at work!

One of my co-workers showed me a pic of Red from That 70's Show who he saw at an art gallery he works at. That was awesome.

Now, for the gross, but not too unimaginable for our law school...a co-worker mentioned that our bathroom was grosser than usual. I had not noticed anything gross. Then, I went to see for myself after she told us that, and behold! a piece of poo was on the floor! It was disgusting! However, I was in a giggly mood that afternoon, and I could not stop laughing while in the bathroom. I was just shocked that that thing was there! The bathroom is gross as it is. My first question was, how did it get there? and the second question was, why did they not pick it up? Ok, now I am just thinking, I should never have to think about these things...in a law school for that matter! However, I have come to conclude that there is no hope for these students. They are pigs! They feel very entitled to everything. They probably never had to wipe their own asses, so that is why the poo was on the floor. Every week, I get more and more evidence for a paper with the thesis: Law Students are idiots.

After work, had awesome homemade burger, watched some movies/tv, worked out. The usual.

Today, what will you bring. Oh, there is a report on the bathroom today. The bathroom has been cleaned, but there is evidence that there was poo on the floor.

How could I forget to mention that my supervisor's baby boy was born! He was a big one...9 lb. 12 oz!!! His name is Issac.

I have the Cleavland Show song stuck in my head. I watched an episode before going to work.

Yesterday, had massive caffeine headache due to lack of caffeine. But, surprisingly got much better at chorus...well not too surprising since I love going to chorus. We always laugh and I love to sing, even though at times I think I suck. I should practice the new music more. During break, a few of us started the plan a Scrabble night with margaritas (spelling check is not working...) and sleep over due to not wanting to drive anywhere after having so much fun. Plus, her house is in Rocklin (spell check now, really???). Watched most of Extract. It's really funny.

Planning on doing pilates (I have come to the conclusion that spell check really sucks on this) after work and my core rhythms work out. Been counting down to Feb. At least then we will get longer days and warmer weather.

New 'tude

Had a wonderful weekend.

Friday: went home. Ate dinner with Mack and Brian at the new Pizza and Grill on G street. On the way there, some random man near the parking lot (looking a bit crazy) said "prostitute" to us and said "stupid prostitute". How lovely. Well, I'm thinking Brian was the prostitute. Mack later said that he was offended (in addition to this verbal harassment) since it meant that he had to pay to get me, like he couldn't get me to date him normally. haha. I guess I should be flattered by the comment. I was wearing nice black pants, all-covering blue sweater and a rain jacket. No hooker books, no boob top. So, I must be a high class prostitute in his eyes. Good food and excellent beer. The best amber ale I've ever had. Seriously, it went down like water, very smooth and the flavor was very tasty. Played some Guitar Hero, watched Youtube, and passed out.

Saturday: Slept 10 hours. Ate, biked to campus with Mack since it was nice out, watched Golden Girls. Cleaned. Went to co-workers and played Wii for 2 1/2 hours. The time flew by.

Sunday: Got up at 6 because I'm crazy. Watched tv all morning. Ate pancakes. Did pilates finally and the core rhythms work out and a walk workout. All the core work felt awesome. I was starving and ate a ton of food. Watched The Dead Zone, zombie film. Good times.

I have gotten plenty of sleep and well fed and warm, so it's like a whole new me. It's amazing when these all come together!

This Makes Me Sick!

This is a separate posting to state how made I am at the UC system.

To start with, today is an article about how the upper execs in the Med Center are getting incentives (bonuses):

I got spit on

I tell Mack every week I find out something new that makes me disgusted with the UCs.

We have to go on furlough or Start program, which I am getting a reduced wage each month for a day off. Ok, day off is nice, but really, I can't get much more lower a wage. I have loans to pay off. If I were to have this job for my whole life, I would maybe have $10 in savings. I mean, I just live month to month on my paycheck. This is not something I want to do for much longer. Very glad to have this job, don't get me wrong, but it's just not cool for much longer than a few years.

So, I overheard certain people in the law library getting raises...which they get every year but since we are getting cuts, I think it is inappropriate.

I see buildings going up all the time on campus, hence Under Construction Daily (UCD). Makes me sick, though as a student I loved it, as a barely paid employee, makes me mad. They put their money in certain things, and it's just wrong.

The housing that was supposed to be for faculty/staff is only affordable for faculty.

I'm sure I'll think of the other things that make me mad and I'm sure I'll learn more in the next weeks. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Again, not dissing my job...love it, love the people. But things upset me and others and just had to get this out.

Rain Day 3

Yesterday, I waited for Mack to get out of his meeting and I was insanely hungry. I had crazy in my eyes. We got sandwiches at the Deli at IGA. Was gone in five min. I ate as fast as I could. Finished the L word series and the last episode was HORRIBLE! They did this whole murder mystery thing and did not solve it. I went online to read comments and everyone was so mad at the last episode. Whatever, the show was getting bad towards the end. That Jenny character was so annoying, she didn't seem real. It just ended up kinda depressing. I told Mack I was mad lol. Then, played Wii sports and did my crazy boxing. I got really sweaty, so I figured I better just work out more since I had to take a shower anyway. This was good since I thought I would just sit and do nothing. The Wii is good :) Oh, and at work, we had a party and had all sugar stuff and I had a tiny amount and I was crazy. I was sugar high and could barely function for about an hour. Then I just got really hungry and crazy-eyed.

Rain Day 2

Again, another nasty, stormy day. I like rain, but when it rains like crazy for days, it is no fun. Got soaked yesterday. Mackenzie was super scary yesterday due to lack of sleep and being hungry, two of my scaries. I was hoping I wouldn't influence Mackenzie in this way...sadly he got it from me. Why can't I be the only scary? Worked out and watched part of Downfall, the movie that all those Hitler memes are from, such as:

In this video, poor Hitler just wants some BK and he gets stuck with Mickey D's. No wonder he is so mad in it. Yes, taking the whole Nazi thing very lightly in these memes, but it is hilarious. I think I appreciate this video the most due to me being the same way with food. I understand his pain lol.

Another day of staying inside while my new skates look sad. It's ok, the weekend is supposed to be nice.

Rain Day 1

There is supposed to be more rain this week and this is just the start of it. Got soaked walking in. Mack got mad at me for walking ahead of him, but I was COLD and WET so I walk fast at those times.

Weekend:

Thurs: just relaxed.

Friday: I got an hour of sleep that night, so stayed at home. Did sleep a little more, but was tired. Chillaxed. How could I forget about going to the new IGA across the street? The place was packed! Tried some good samples. Yay food!

Saturday: Went home to pick up stuff and went to Frys and evil Walmart to return stuff.

Sunday: Wii party and watched a really bad movie, The Room. The dialogue is hilarious because it is so bad. That was fun.


Monday: got awesome breakfast from Black Bear Diner. Cleaned a bit. Went to chorus. Laughs as usual.

Grumpy

Today, I woke up grumpy, but was in that mood yesterday after work due to headache/earache and it being only Wednesday. I am still trying to get back into the work mode, but really not liking it. Can't wait for the three day weekend!

I have a damn Backstreet Boys song stuck in my head because the Silo was playing it and it keeps playing the same thing in my head now. Someone stab the person who played that song...I'm so violent lol.

New TV

Yesterday, Mack stayed home to get the TV that was delivered. We got a 40 inch Samsung tv...it is very nice.

After work, went to dinner with coworkers and had an awesome salad. One of the best salads I've ever had. Blue Cheese dressing is the best.

I am starving now, so not too energetic. Planning on relaxing this three day weekend. Cannot wait!

New Songs

Yesterday, went to chorus and got new songs. We get to sing Going to the Chapel and a spoonful of sugar and others. Had a good time last night. Lots of laughing is always good! Especially on a Monday. Cuz you know, like that random lady said, I have a case of the Mondays. Right, like I'd listen to her or any other person. I don't give a shit what other people think. Never did, never will. Kinda refreshing :)

Got more sleep today. Going to get some good food with the co-workers. Then, hopefully work out and get even more sleep. The sun is out so I am feeling more energized at the moment. Bear Jessica has been hibernating and she wants to get her roller blades and go out and play.

Weekend Review:

Friday: Day off! Slept in, watched V, got an oil change, worked out, got my pj's on by 6 pm, watched tv/movies.

Saturday: Slept in, went to my book club at the China House Restaurant. That place is really good! I got zucchini chicken, they didn't have general chicken, but this was so damn good that I was not missing the general. I shocked Mack when I told him this. Went shopping. Bought roller blades that will be sent in the mail. I'm excited to skate once again. Can't wait til it gets warmer. Got a ton of nice, quality work out socks. Good times. Worked out. TV.

Sunday: woke up early. Took a shower, ate a little, read a little, went back to bed, woke up at a more decent time. Started laundry, worked out, finished laundry, worked out again because I had energy and I'm crazy. Read/watched tv. Ate Pankcakes!!! Been craving pancakes due to too many tv shows having pancakes in them. Oh, found out that the IGA is finally opening the 15th. I was excited about that. Mack loves when I can make small things exciting, like pancakes and stores opening. It's cuz I'm awesome!

That three day weekend went by way too quickly.

Can't wait to go back to chorus tonight. Been so long! It's cold again. :( Makes me just want to be in bed. I'm good with winter up through New Years, then I just want it to be spring again.

Watched Shoot 'em Up with Clive Owen. Ridiculous stunts. But, it's Clive Owen, so it's ok. lol. I watched Extras and he was in one which is one of my favorite episodes. He says "I wouldn't pay for that (looking at the girl extra as a prostitute). I'm Clive Owen." That was awesome.

I'm really tired and COLD.

I hate the students

Today, I walk into work with the lovely sound of jack hammering and banging. They are working on the court yard, trying to do the demolition before the students come back to school next week. I hate those students, everything at UCD and Davis is catered to them. Boo. I actually am not too bothered by the noise, but we got earplugs just now, so I can't hear anything. It's weird.

Yesterday, went home, had awesome burger, then passed out for about an hour. Woke up, read some, watched a lot of Parks and Recreation with Mack. Tired. I got 6 hours of sleep last night, better than 3 the night before. So, I got 9 hours of sleep for the past two nights. That should be what I get for one freakin' night. I was scary this morning. Yesterday, I was cheery and talkative. Mack was scared because that is not normal. That is evil Jessica.

Wow, I could sleep now.

Yesterday, didn't do much. Got 3 hours of sleep. I am awake, so I must be evil Jessica right now. It's cold and foggy. I was starving last night and I am right now. I was eating I swear. Fibirous stuff too like oatmeal. Food in an hour...too long...

Vacation-you went too quickly

I am back at work :(. The vacation was very nice and much needed. I'll probably have to keep adding to this post since it will be looong unless I forget what I did or was lazy.

Wed, Dec.23rd: Last day of work before the nice vacation. I left at noon so that I could get to SC before traffic. I stayed for the potluck, but wolfed down the food so I could get out of there. There was no traffic. And I got there just before everyone came back from San Jose to pick up Carol and Lizzy. We hung out, I was really tired. We had Costco pizza for dinner. Steve, Carol, me Mack and Lizzy drove around the area to find lights. For a while, there were a ton of cars following us. We went to a court that had all the houses with crazy lights and decorations. Apparently I looked special in the pictures...I was tired and cold, of course I looked special! Went to bed right after that.

Thurs: Christmas Eve! Had awesome breakfast. Went downtown to do last minute shopping. Took a lot of pictures. We had prime rib for dinner, baked potatoes, and other awesome food. Opened presents. I got a really nice gold necklace from Mari and some other good stuff. Mack got the jackpot: $300 from each grandparent. We had Irish Coffee. Talked to some of Mack's family on the phone.

Friday: Christmas! Santa had come and gave me some good stocking gifts like socks and a dvd. Had an awesome breakfast. Went to the 7-11 to get my super big gulp for the drive. Cruised to WC. Was cold in the house. Took a lot of pictures. Opened presents. Sat around, then went on a walk in the open space. Had dinner which was turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and rolls. Had pumpkin pie. Then left for home.

Saturday: Slept in. Cleaned and put away things. Worked out. I forget the rest...not too much that went on, just enjoying our gifts.

Sunday: Slept in, enjoyed my gifts. Went to Best Buy with Mack and he got Silent Hill. I was tired.

Monday: Slept in, did a lot of nothing and fun stuff.

Tuesday: See above. Plus, later in the day, my throat was getting scratchy...getting sick. Blame Mack.

Wednesday: Sick. Watched Dexter all day. That and One Tree Hill.

Thursday: Did a lot of nothing. Went to a co-worker's for New Years' Eve. Played Clue. So fun! Ate some good food. Wore silly crowns and drank sparkling cider when midnight came. We kept saying "I accuse" instead of "I suggest" during the game and that was funny (had to be there).

Friday: Mack left of SC early, got up, showered, read, watched tv, played DS.

Saturday: See above.

Sunday: See above. Plus, got only 4 hours of sleep, but that is good so that I went to bed early at 7 and took a ton of drugs to get me to sleep and correct me from my going to bed really late and sleeping in really late.

Today: work. Tired, but I could be a lot worse. The time flew by. Not fair.
