Ok, it's been a long time since I've updated. I'm too tired to go through the daily things right now, but I know after Steve came to visit Mac and I Thursday night that people had a ton of questions about the wedding. To answer simply, invites will be mailed out beginning of July. The website will be up and running by that time, with more details about the wedding. You will know our color scheme at that time just looking at the invites and website. I've been asked a lot how wedding stuff is going, and I guess I'm a little different than most brides in that I will not go on and on about it, I'm mostly tired everyday from work and the heat, but the wedding planning is coming along nicely.
This morning, I put in the usual amount of coffee grinds. However, I discovered too late that I added two extra cups of water. It was disgusting. I had my caffeine fix at work, but it was so sad. I like drinking my coffee on my commute. I get sick of music way too quickly now that I commute. I need to "go deeper" INCEPTION! and find some music I like. It only takes 25-30 min from folsom to davis freeways, but it adds 10 minutes to our apt. it's not so bad...
Sleepy time.

Busy Weekend
I had Friday off, for the Librarian Interview at El Dorado Hills. It was good. I should hear back soon whether or not I got the job. That night, saw Super 8. It was really good, especially the train wreck scene. The movies reminded me of The Goonies and Close Encounters.
Sat: parents came up. Went to In and Out. Went to the Vineyard. We didn't do much, but the driving was tiring, so my parents took off pretty much right afterward. Mac and I explored some of the Folsom Parks. We found one secluded one we liked. Mac was so cute because he ran up a grassy knoll. He was like a puppy. Mac passed out the rest of the day and I chilled and watched more Ancient Aliens.
Sunday: worked out, had our engagement session. I finally picked out my outfits, but we had to rush to Kohl's to buy Mac a plan dark blue button down shirt. It was hot out. We took pics in front of this awesome 50's pink car, totally my kind of car, and we took quite a bit on Sutter Street. There were some good spots. I accidentally flashed my butt, since my dress got caught on my purse. Some lady yelled about my purse and I knew what she was talking about. I was a little embarrassed. I wonder who else caught a glimpse. We changed into more casual clothes and went on the Rainbow bridge and near the lake for more pics. I think we got some good ones. We were really thirsty after, so we went to Hacienda where I got a margarita and awesome fajita burrito. Ya, I'm spoiled. Then, we watched tv and kinda passed out. I took a bath.
Today: sleepy time? Ya, not really right now.

Kicking it in gear
The wedding is coming up so quickly and June is the month of getting a lot done.
My friends at work are going to help me print out my invitations at work (shhhh). We only need to pay for the postage, which I'm going to buy today (cute wedding ones from zazzle.com).
Got a group discount for Best Western going, and will get a contract to sign for that.
Went to Men's Warehouse with Mac and chose the tuxes for people to get fitted into and pick up.
Going to take our engagement pics this Sunday (good since it will be good weather).
Saturday, showing my parents the wedding venue, and hoping that Mac and I can decide on which wines to purchase for the wedding.
Next Sat, going to have our flowers appointment.
Going to make a final list for my maid of honor for the bridal shower. Going to have it at my friend's house (probably).
Going to buy my shoes and accessories from David's Bridal so I can make sure things fit.
Having my friends from work make cookies for the favors. yay, I love them (same ones who are doing the invites).
Going to set up rehearsal dinner when I get a chance.
Mac bought a scanner, so I will work on scanning pictures for wedding website (getting set up more and more) and also maybe for other projects.
Going to look into our wedding vows (we need to give this to Carol, the sooner the better).
Also very important, going to look into getting the marriage license (the whole reason behind this!) and how this thing works...
Going to go hiking on days not taken up already. Good exercise. Also wish to have some sort of summer, so hoping to do very summer like things, like bbq, swimming, baseball games.
Plus, on top of all this, I'm interviewing for a librarian job this Friday! Hoping for the best, but not expecting anything. If they are smart, they will hire me.
You can see I'm just a bit busy. Just a little...

Being Weird
I like Mackenzie since I can be weird with him. Yesterday, I told him that he's stuck with me forever, then did my scary, evil laugh.
I realized that what is really important with finding someone or friends is that they understand your craziness and oddities and can be weird with each other. That is the most important thing in any relationship. Being real and silly. Anything less, I am disappoint.

LA Vacation
Mac and I took a long weekend to go down to LA, mainly for my friend's wedding, but also for a nice little vacation.
I took Thurs. May 26th off to pack and clean the apt. It's always nice to have a clean apt. when you get back. I did enjoy that when I got back. Mac had Lee take care of Momo for the time we were gone.
Friday, left to Sac International Airport. Had BK for breakfast, and I was impressed with their breakfast. I thought it was even better than Mickey D's! Flying down was quick. Took a Hertz shuttle to pick up our car rental. We got a white Toyota Carolla with a nice GPS which we didn't pay for, but so glad it was there since our GPS was still thinking. Not sure if it ever worked down there. Mac had to drive the car the whole time, which was fine with me. At hotel, we rested and napped and then went to Medieval Times in Buena Park. Mac had not gone there, so it was a must see. It was fun booing the other knights. We had the best cheering section. Oh, for lunch, went to a brewery, but was the worst beer ever, worst burgers, and worst service. Boo. San Pedro is the place to go for thrift shopping.
Saturday: spent the day at Knott's Berry Farm. It was a nice day, but also sunny and burnt my scalp. Went on three rides, but they were good. Saw a few shows. Got some good souvenirs. Went to pizza that night which was decent, but not the best...
Sunday: Went to Venice Beach on an extremely windy day. Went all down the rows of shops. Got ice cream. Must have been 20 or so marijuana "doctors" who looked shady as Hell. Went to the Brea Tar pits, but saw a museum, and decided to go there first. We briefly went to the tar pits to say we saw it. Not too impressive, but a good side trip with the museum. I loved the art and artifacts at the museum. They had a Tim Burton exhibit, but it was sold out and I was sad. If I had known about it, I might have pushed for us to go to the museum a lot earlier. We got home late, so went to Mickey D's for dinner. Pigged out.
Monday: took a walk to the San Pedro beach, went back to relax. I was so tired, since we have done so much. Went to the wedding. Perfect weather for the outdoor ceremony. Saw a friend from college, saw other friends too. We left early since it was late getting started.
Tuesday: got up early and went home. Came back to rain. Kinda sucky on that part. I rested the rest of the day.
Wed: last day of vacation. Rested, cleaned, awesome day at home. Glad to see Momo. Mac will post some pics of the trip.
