Looks like a little sunny today, but can't wait til tomorrow when it's supposed to be sunny AND warm! Finally!!! No plans set for tomorrow, but that is nice. I want to relax, read, and make awesome food.
Today, law school bbq. It's a nice break. Had a doughnut this morning...evil. I try to be healthy, but I never seem to win.
In doing a Yahoo! sport world cup soccer picks and there are so many teams and scores to pick that I just guessed most the time. I know who tends to be good, but other than that, it's a guessing game.
Almost three day weekend! I think I'm getting dinner and seeing a movie tonight! Woo! Super Happy Fat Time!

The New "Good Morning" Guy
At work, we used to have this delivery guy come in every morning to drop things off. He was very chipper and waved and said "good morning!" Now, we have a new FedEx guy that is very chipper and says "good morning" and he is nice. It's nice to have that in the morning when things can get boring.
We used to have this UPS driver, Dennis, who would talk to us and he was awesome. He is now working in the office. But, we have a new guy, Charles, who I think we can work on and talk to him...he does talk to us, but he needs to do it for longer, like Dennis. You know you are old when you know the names of your delivery guys. And, you look forward to them.
The other day, Mack wanted me to wake him up, so I did. He told me I was too chipper in the morning. I had no idea I was even chipper. I guess I'm really old now.
The people are building some kind of awning out where the new entrance to the library will be. Yay, fire sparks!
Someone from work told us that there were two ducks downtown that used the crosswalk, just like people! That is amazing, and so cute. I haven't seen any ducklings yet :(

We have elephants at work
Yesterday, in the afternoon, at work, there were people working on the building and it sounded like an elephant. Seriously. Everything thought so. There was a less noisy sound, so that was a baby elephant. It was like being in a zoo. I liked the sound, it was almost soothing.
Went home to clean the kitchen. Worked out. Watched Life. That was basically my day. Day always goes too fast. I was watching the Life episode about primates, and haven't finished, but those baboons are just like people...scary. Have wars and try to get the most women. Bah! Sounds too familiar.
Went to bed really early. Still could have slept another hour.
Oh, I had a pretty funny/weird dream. I had a dream that I was an ATV competitor, who pimps them out and races them. For some reason, I had no socks on and it was a very hot day, so the pavement was hot, so I burned my feet. So, I got help going to this store at the competition site where there was this really long aisle with different socks (very high quality that did different things, like lock out moisture, etc), deodorant, feminine pads (for some reason, no tampons), lotions, and aloes, and stockings. I had a brief encounter with a man with OCD who had to turn this bin (the kind that could spin) a certain amount of times and I was getting annoyed, so I went elsewhere. I bought the aloe lotion and nice socks and that made my feet feel better. For some reason, before the competition, I had to get food for a potluck, and my Iranian friend made me Iranian food to bring. I let Mack eat some on the way back to the competition and was worried he would eat too much, so I had to take it from him and put it in the back seat. Then, as I drove off to the competition, I had the song by Enrique Iglesias Te quiero me amore song playing, but with a funky, middle eastern sounding beat (probably due to having the Iranian food, to go along with that theme). I woke up with that song in my head. It was a crazy dream and I wished I could have seen myself race that ATV!

Sunny/Cloudy
The weather is still crazy. Was sunny earlier, now looks cloudy, and still might rain.
Yesterday, Mack made me food, so that was awesome. Went to chorus, but only stayed the first part due to be extremely tired after watching the Lost Finale late Sunday night. I was a zombie all day Monday. We had another guest director, a woman this time. I liked her even more than the other, she seems like a good fit and has some good techniques and warm-ups. That was good, but then we practiced more, and I got tired again, so took off. I worked out since I was feeling crappy and it would help me sleep. Ya, I slept pretty well, but could have slept another hour. Feel better today. Can't wait for the three-day weekend! I will be relaxing and making awesome food.
Today, try to clean the kitchen that is a disaster right now. That is the big goal today.

Busy Weekend
I had a busy weekend.
Friday: went to Sac to Zocalo's, a Mexican restaurant to meet up with a group of friends. It was crazy loud and busy. Good food. Had a mariachi band play and that got the place even louder, so hard to talk to people. Went to Crepeville afterward so we can actually talk. Good to see people.
Saturday: got ready and went to the A's v. Giants game in Oakland. Went to an all you can eat bbq before the game. Was good, pigged out. The game was not very exciting, A's got one run and a player got hit, but that was it. At least the A's won. Went to Santa Cruz after for Mari's party. Tried to nap, but fell asleep for maybe five minutes. Had a lot of food and made a Sea Breeze cocktail. Talked to people. Went to bed at 10:30 and people were still up and laughing.
Sunday: was too cold and tired to shower, so took a shower when we got back to Davis. Zoned out and watched tv for several hours. Went to a coworkers for the Lost Event. Saw the last part of the recap and watched the 2.5 hour finale. I liked how the Target commercials featured Lost things, like the smoke monster was in one and it showed a picture of a smoke detector, that was my favorite. It turned out to be a good episode, but kinda thought the alternate reality was lame. Oh well, just glad it ended.

May has been cold and rainy, more so than usual. It needs to start acting like May!
Yesterday, had the birthday party at work, people liked my pasta salad. It was a very healthy party. Worked out, watched tv and a lot of memes on the Interwebs. Showed Mack the funny barking puppy.

The Pelicans
I'm borrowing a VHS of Life episodes and my coworker told me how horrible the pelicans were in the show. I thought they would turn out to be cannibals, eating their own babies, but they ate the babies of another bird. That's Life...nature will find another food source (humans are over fishing in that area, so they had to be smart about surviving).
Yesterday, besides watching Life, I made my pasta salad...quick and easy. Just wondering why I don't make more food. I tend to work out and eat something light like cereal, so I guess that is why I don't make dinner a big production. I made Mack a breakfast burrito. I guess I can just cook for other people. I want to make the pasta salad for Mack and I. It's so good! Worked out, watched the last episode of Lost before the big Season Finale Event, which is this Sunday and it's like 3.5 hours long, with even more but I'm only watching that much. We are going to a coworkers to watch it. Can't wait!
Finally nice out again, but it's not even that warm. Just wondering when the weather will be normal again.

Bodies of Cavemen
Weird title, but we were talking about how people are not meant to sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day...we still have bodies of cavemen where we were meant to move around and do physical things throughout the day. I miss being more active throughout the day. Even working out most days a week doesn't seem to cut it. It's annoying. I need a change soon...
Yesterday, hit up Target for a few kitchen items. Hit up the IGA for food to make pasta salad for the work birthday party. Yes, I am on the party planning committee. Worked out, watched Life.
Today, will make the pasta salad when I get home. Then, guess what? Work out.
I usually drink a lot of diet soda in the morning to help me wake up. I had one can and I don't feel like drinking anymore. That is good since I want to stop drinking so much. The soda goes too quickly otherwise and I know it's not too great for me.

Cheezburger Machine
I want to call bbq grills cheezburger machines because of a lol cats pic.
Yesterday, sold 10 tickets to the River Cats game we will be singing at. Yay! A director interviewing for Joey's position came and did warm ups and directed a song with. He is good. But, it would be different with him him since our cute "bitchy queen" is not with us. He gave a good balance to the more on top of schedule women, who now seem to be taking over. Joey made it fun, he would make fun of us, and just laugh. It's still fun, but now it seems more serious, like we need to improve, which is true. This new guy is super skinny, Italian, and can sing really high. I have not had a chance to hear his whole range, but I miss Joey's voice, which is absolutely fabulous! Damn boyfriend who is taking him away! Just kidding, I'm glad he is happy. We'll see, there are others supposedly vying for the position. I want a man though. Adds more balance.
Today, everyone seems to be wearing green. I'm wearing a jacket since it's cold, but it's still green. Now, it's finally getting clear out.
Today, need to call my mom for a pasta salad recipe or I could just wing it, or look up something online. But, going to get the ingredients today possibly and make it tomorrow night. Need a big bowl, so might hit up the library and then Target for kitchenware. Yay!

H2O
Friday: Picked up some baked items from Nugget and drove to Sac to drop off the baked goods. I made a few posters to wait out the sundown because that would suck to drive in the sun. Went home watched tv, went to bed because I'm an old person.
Saturday: Mack left for SF, I went to the garage sale to look around and help pack things up. We made over $1200 again and still had a whole U-Hull truck worth of stuff to give to the Good Will. We had a tall guy help, which was awesome. It was hot and I scored a lot of water bottles :). Then, went home, cooled down, did trampoline workout, then chillaxed.
Sunday: Went to book club. The Mexican place was closed so we went to Burger City. Good discussion and good shopping...got a lot from Target, but boring stuff like home and bath stuff. Got a new pair of slip ons...I love those shoes! Wearing them right now. Worked out while watching Vegas Vacation. Then sleepy time.
Today, might be doing another tutoring gig, at least for the time I will be here if we move to the bay area (hoping). Just thinking of the gas money I will be spending, but it will look good on my resume. Kinda thinking if it will be worth my time and money.

Trampoline fun
I rediscovered my mini trampoline that I have workouts too, and I forgot how fun it is, and I sweat like crazy. I did the retro workout that had moves from the '70s and '80s. It was awesome. I watched Life. Chillaxed.
Today, I'm a little crazy, it's Friday after all. I have cookies on my desk for the bake sale tomorrow and the smell is kinda killing me and I'm very hungry.
I found out a coworker has not seen ANY of the National Lampoon's vacations! So, I am going to give her my disc with all four. Christmas Vacation is the best.
It's hot out.

Sleep is good
Tuesday was very bad since I had not a lot of sleep. Wed, I got more sleep, but still kinda tired. Today, I finally got enough sleep and feel pretty good for being at work. You know this, the building zaps my energy. I am de-fating again and feel buff. Yesterday, went to the TGFS (thank goodness for staff) lunch near the ARC and got some good food and hung out in the sun and got a little pink...ouch! I got a free bag and stood in line for a stupid drawing for a Clinique kit. Lame! I didn't win that. So, now I have a tan on my arms, which is good. I worked out my muscles and feel a lot better. Watched Vampire Diaries, so now I'm all caught up. Watched Lost and it was an ok episode. Went to bed early, and yay, got sleep! Mackenzie wrote in his blog that he was making tea and broke the pot and cut himself. He really needs to be old people like me and not have to drink tea when it's dark out! Can't wait for him to be old people, then I can bug him in the morning and I can see better when getting ready in the morning. Today, just going to work out and clean more and relax. Going to be busy this weekend!

Fattie
Yesterday, I was really tired at work, so I kept eating red vines...those are evil. I would have taken yesterday off, but I only have one sick day and only a week vacation. But, after June furloughs, I'll be losing at least a few days worth of vacation, sooo, I'll be going to work those days I really shouldn't, unless I'm dying, I'm going to work. Not fun. It's funny how the people who complain about slacking off are the ones who talk a lot during work. Lame! I'm kinda ticked off about that, that person complained about people goofing off, playing games, whatever, we all do things.

Long Weekend
Had a nice, long weekend.
Thursday: was very tired, went to Lamppost with Mack for awesome pizza and saw and old boss and said hi. Pretty much passed out after that.
Friday: slept in, worked out, relaxed, went to Headhunters where I saw Mack's boyfriend (the gay man that hit on him) but he didn't see Mack. Saw Joe sing while bartending...great voice and just fun to see him. Did a few numbers myself, but was really tired and went to bed late for me.
Saturday: slept in a lot, got stuff ready to drop off for the garage sale. Got my big gulp and drove to Sac, dropped off stuff, got overheated and left earlier than expected, cooled down at home, went to Walmart to get Mom a few things, then relaxed.
Sunday: Mother's Day...had bbq back home...it rained on the way driving. Had awesome food. Mack stayed at home to work on research.
Today, tired. Tonight singing, and honestly it will be work instead of all fun. I know it won't be the same without Joe, just wondering how the new person will be. Have a few events coming up, so need to practice.

Cinco de Mayo
This year, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo and was on team Mexico. I went to Chevy's in Dixon with a few friends. Got a margarita and enchiladas. Now, my stomach is paying for it. I got to see my friend's house (which is pretty new and huge and as Lee pointed out, looks like the house in Paranormal Activity), and saw her dog Bella who I thought was a black lab in the pics but she is a Pointer mix. She jumped all over the place.
It's my Friday! I plan on watching a movie with Mack tonight :)
This weekend will be busy, with the garage sale, Headhunters, Whole Earth Festival, and Mother's Day. I'm already tired thinking about it all! Next weekend I have the garage sale on Sat and the book club meetup. Weekend after that...I think it's a little less busy. Phew!
It's my Friday! I plan on watching a movie with Mack tonight :)

Bowling Fun
Yesterday, went bowling after work. I did good. Then, hit up Togo's for food. Worked out and now feeling it a bit. Fitting my pants nicely. Woo!
Scared I'll eat too much tonight due to going to Chevy's for Cinco de Mayo. I don't really want a huge drink either. I get sick.
Friday going to Headhunters and scared I'll get sucked into drinking, but I won't drink too much. It's a special night though, so I will have fun no matter what.
Nice weather now, getting warmer, which is Jessica weather. Excited for my frozen chocolate covered banana at Whole Earth festival this weekend. And, might be getting an awesome nature t shirt or sweatshirt or some other craft.
I'm sad I can't see the demolition derby at the Dixon May Fair this year...it's on Mother's Day.
Planning on going to the Truckee river rafting with the girl co-workers. Will be drinking beer and shooting people with water guns. Shall be fun! We are going on our furlough days. Got another concert coming up and a Rivercats game. Not planning a ton just yet...like a nice vacation I keep hinting to Mack since we want to see when he's done with school and has a job lined up. I also don't have many vacation days saved up, but I'm willing to have leave without pay for a good time. I have enough saved to get by, but I really want to pay off my credit card by the end of this year or sooner.

I also don't have many vacation days saved up, but I'm willing to have leave without pay for a good time. I have enough saved to get by, but I really want to pay off my credit card by the end of this year or sooner.

Get a Brain! Morans...
The title is from on of the signs from the website Morons with Signs. It's a funny website that have signs with misspellings and grammar errors and irony (Like "learn how to speak engish). Good stuff.
Yesterday, went to chorus and it was not the same. Joe is gone for good :( I was hoping he would show up or something, but at least we have sub directors until the new director is chosen. We need another bitchy queen! No, Joe was awesome...sassy and fun. Just a great personality. We will see him at Headhunters this Friday for the last time. Farewell party. So, I actually was checking the time when chorus was out, because a lot of people were gone that night and it wasn't as fun. We did good work, but not as fun as normal.
Today, going bowling for fun. People are getting a beer before hand, I think I'll just watch them drink. I don't want to get sick.
Tomorrow, plan on going to Chevy's for Cinco de Mayo. Gotta at least have fake Mexican dinner!

Smokin'
Where I left off...
Friday, I get a call from a coworker before I arrive to work and hear that the coffee kiosk right next to the law school building where I work had been on fire and is burnt to a crisp. I get all excited because of my curiosity and couldn't get to work fast enough. On the stairs, I stepped on my foot wrong, but it didn't hurt just then. I look at the kiosk and yes, burnt to a crisp. I was like, this is crazy, guys! Everyone was talking about it. I said I thought it was arson. We have yet to hear word. Now, it seems there are people to clean up the mess. A picture of the fire was on the news and there were reporters there. An hour after I got to work, my ankle hurt badly, so I went home...went to Rite Aid to pick up ice packs and other things to take care of my foot. Iced it at home, soaked it in a salt solution, and took read a lot.
Saturday: Took care of my ankle, read a lot, got a haircut and did a few other chores. Got Chinese with Mack...beautiful day!
Sunday: Took care of my ankle and it's feeling better. Did my blue ball workout. Got pizza with Mack at Round Table. There was a group of soft ball players and their parents, loud and not so classy people. Had the American, I can sit wherever and do what I like, attitude which I'm noticing a lot more. Damn Americans! lol Just watch the movie In Bruges and see how Colin Farrell's character hates the American attitude and makes fun of a fat man trying to climb up a tiny tower thing for tourists. I have to agree with Colin's character...stupid Americans who think they can do whatever and have all these rights...the fat guy dies due to a heart attack. Sounds mean, but really? climb up to that tower on tiny stairs? Asking for it!
This weekend, went to the two Rite Aids and the two CVS drugstores. I love my drugs.
I think that is all the highlights of the weekend. My ankle feels stronger, but going to wrap it for this week at least. Try to work out little by little. It's so nice out! Going to be a warm one!
