Virus Attack

Ever since Monday morning, I've had a sore throat. That morning, I was getting ready for work and it took way too much effort to do anything, so I called in sick, thinking I would rest and get better for the next day. Turns out, I have a bad virus. It was weird though, since I just had a sore throat for three days. Went to the doctor to take a Strep throat test, turned out negative. My voice has been off and on the past few days. I woke up coughing this morning and Mackenzie was scary since I woke him up. Been watching a lot of tv, playing games, and reading (loving Johanna Lindsey romance novel right now). Kinda boring at times and lack energy, so not fun, but wearing my Snuggie a lot and doing some of my favorite things, so that is ok with me. I had several plans this week that had to be rescheduled or just not go to. I told myself I needed a vacation...like a week. Guess the body takes over when you don't listen (or can't) to what your body/mind wants. I would have taken a vacation if possible, but lack of vacation days makes that difficult.

That has been my week. Still not that great, so will be resting all weekend.

End of a long week!

This week, I haven't been keeping up since I've been working at other places in the library in preparing for a shipment of books to NRLF. Change is good. Working at the desk all the time is Boring! and also not so healthy. I hope to be active most of this weekend, except today going to get dinner/drinks and see a movie, so active not so much today. Someone brought donuts and that is killing me. Come on people, I'm trying to lose weight! Plus, sugar makes me kinda sick, so I'm feeling it now. I can't take that much sugar, which is a good thing since I do not need to load up on it. I've been cutting down on sugar.

I'll be happy to sleep in (maybe if I can) and just do whatever I feel like doing. No real big plans set yet...waiting on Mack's status on a job. Hoping to have a vacation before he works. This year will be interesting...

Awesome '80s

I just read Mack's blog about how he loves the '80s. The '80s are awesome! I say present tense because I do not remember the '80s too well and could not appreciate them as much as an adult could. I don't know what sparked Mackenzie's blog post, but I get all happy when I see or hear anything '80s. I told Mack that awesome was born in the '80s, thus us being born :), but it's too bad we didn't get to enjoy that decade. I could go on and on about how awesome it is, but if you get it, you get it. If you don't, I don't know you.

Can't wait for the weekend!

Oh, sad news. Our awesome and totally adorable director for Sacramento Women's Chorus is leaving us to move to SF with his adorable new boyfriend. I want to cry. He is leaving in late April. :(
